The Eagles announced Monday that the team signed former Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo to a 1-year-deal.
Sendejo has been very productive in his NFL career so far. The 31-year-old defensive back brings experience and special teams abilities to the Eagles.
In 95 career games, Andrew Sendejo has 421 tackles, 27 pass breakups, and six interceptions.

Sendejo is coming off a season-ending groin injury that occurred in week 5 against the Eagles in 2018.
Overall, adding depth to the safety position was a necessary issue to address ahead of the NFL draft. This signing offers the Eagles front office more flexibility to stick to their board instead of reaching based on positional needs.
Having a reliable 3rd option at the safety position in Eagles’ defense will be valuable considering how Schwartz has utilized defensive backs the last 2 seasons.
Sendejo, 31, has started 58 career games for the Vikings. Gives the Eagles safety depth. Eagles like playing a heavy nickel with three safeties. Was their main defensive package during the past two postseasons.
