Eagles roster tracker: wave one of cuts

As the Eagles are set to cut down to their official 53 man roster by Saturday’s deadline of 4pm Eastern Standard Time, the team has already announced the first wave of players waived:

WR Rashard Davis
TE Anthony Denham
QB Dane Evans
LB Carlos Fields
CB Aaron Grymes
DE Jake Metz
C Tyler Orlosky
T Victor Salako
LB Christian Tago
DT Gabe Wright
TE Adam Zaruba
I highly suspect several of these players to join the Eagles practice squad once they past through waivers. That will be determined Sunday.
The Eagles also announced Friday evening that they have placed cornerback Sidney Jones on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list, released quarterback Matt McGloin and waived wide receiver Paul Turner with an injury settlement.
It is curious, with the first cut down to 70 players, who some of the guys are that still remain with the organization. Should be an interesting Saturday for the birds! Stay tuned for updates!
