Game Recap: Eagles move to 3-4-1 after defeating Cowboys 23-9

Another week, another very ugly win, but it’s a win and that’s all that matters…… right? Beating Dallas is always sweet but there’s a little bit of sour in our mouths following this win.
Against an historically bad defense and a third string quarterback, it should have been an easy win. But, the Eagles found a way to keep us on the edge of our seats tonight, winning the game 23-9.
If you wanted to see good quarterback play, you watched the wrong game. The Cowboys defense had just three takeaways all season, but Carson Wentz managed to commit four in one game. He bounced back with a nice touchdown pass to Travis Fulgham after already having a short touchdown pass to Jalen Reagor.
The Eagles offense ran the ball well tonight, they just couldn’t bypass their turnovers. They kept a bad Cowboys team in the game until that Rodney McLeod fumble return touchdown.
The defense held firm today as they should’ve against this Dallas offensive line and quarterback. They didn’t let up a single touchdown and get to the quarterback very frequently.
Well, the Eagles moved to 3-4-1 on the season and are going into a much needed bye week. This team isn’t good but they aren’t as bad as they look. If they play clean football, they win tonight easy. A lot of things need to change as they make a run towards the end of the season, one obviously being health.
Hopefully a few players return after the bye week and they cut out the mental errors. Everything is in front of this team, they can be good. Beating Dallas feels good and all, but there’s work to be done! Hopefully when they take on the New York Giants in two weeks, it’s a different story.
