Game Reaction: The Eagles win an ugly game vs. Giants

It wasn’t pretty, it was in fact very ugly but ugly wins feel great… don’t they?

The Philadelphia Eagles moved to 2-4-1 on the year after defeating the New York Giants 22-21. Down 11 points with a little over six minutes left, the Eagles rallied behind Carson Wentz and a tough defense and found a way to win the game.

Speaking of Wentz, he led the Eagles on a game winning drive, hitting Boston Scott on an 18 yard touchdown pass. It was a dime.

He finished the day with 359 passing yards two touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. We’re not going to talk about his interception right now because we’re going to forget about it!

Wide receiver Travis Fulgham continued his hot streak catching five passes for 73 yards. And, tight end Richard Rodgers was a reliable target catching six passes for 85 yards.

Running back Boston Scott couldn’t get anything on the ground going, he ran for 46 yards on 12 carries. But, he came up big for them in the end.

The Eagles defense forced a few big turnovers and bent but didn’t fully break. It wasn’t their best game, but a few big plays and bad field position once burnt them.

However, the offense could’ve buried this one and the story would be much more different. They left a lot of points on the board, this game could’ve easily been 34-21.

A win is a win and the Eagles will take it. They’re back in the win column. It wasn’t pretty but now with a bigger break, they’ll be ready to take on a Dallas Cowboys team ready to implode.
