Mock Draft Roundup: Eagles take Oklahoma LB Kenneth Murray at 21 after top WRs options go off the board

The NFL Draft is less than 24 hours away and things are starting to heat up. Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com had released his final mock draft and it has our Philadelphia Eagles making a very interesting pick.

We all know the Eagles need to add speed and do so by adding a wide receiver. However, Jeremiah doesn’t see it going that way for the Eagles.

Jeremiah has the Eagles electing to take Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray. Here’s he reasoning.

“I know the Eagles would love to add a speed receiver, but with the top options off the board, Murray is too good to ignore.”

At that point, you can see why pop taking Murray makes a lot of sense. The Eagles also need a linebacker and one of Murray’s quality could become an enforcer and leader for the Eagles defense for years to come.

Instead of adding speed offensively, the Eagles add it defensively. Murray flies around the field making tackles. He’s fast, strong and very physical. His presence on the field is definitely felt, there’s no doubt he’ll be a good player for the Eagles.

The Eagles could have their hand forced if those four wide receivers go before their pick. LSU WR Justin Jefferson lands 13 to the 49ers in this scenario. That would force the Eagles to trade up to take a wide receiver if they wanted a chance at Henry Ruggs.

Trading down could be an option to select a different wide receiver, however,  Murray is a very good player and it would be hard to pass up on him if he fell.

This draft could go in so many different ways. No one knows what’s going to happen, besides the first two picks. It’s going to be a good one.
