Darby to play in full Sunday; Maddox back but limited at practice

25 October 2019 Uncategorized

According to Dave Spadaro, Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson believes Ronald Darby will be ready for this Sunday’s game against the Bills.

Darby has had two full weeks of practice after hurting his hamstring in the first half of Week 3’s game against the Lions. He has missed the last four games but all things seem to be headed in the right direction for him. He apparently has looked really good and that is great news for the Eagles, who currently rank 27th in passing yards allowed per game.

In some more good news for the Eagles secondary, according to Zach Berman of The Athletic, Avonte Maddox will be taking part in practice this week, in a limited capacity.

He may not play this Sunday but having him back at practice is a great sign for his health and for the Eagles season. Maddox was blown up by teammate Andrew Sendejo in the game against the Vikings. He has been dealing with concussion and neck injuries since. As mentioned earlier, they’re 27th in passing yards allowed per game and they are also tied for 27th in touchdowns allowed per game.

The Eagles haven’t made any moves for a cornerback via trade or free agency and time will tell if they do, at all. There are reports that the Eagles are on the phones but nothing has come to fruition for them. The secondary is a very dire area of need for this Eagles defense and they need all of their starters back healthy or Howie needs to make something happen.

The current Eagles cornerbacks that are healthy for Sunday are Jalen Mills, Ronald Darby, Sindey Jones, Rasul Douglas and Craig James.
