Scandrick was brought in as an insurance policy after all the injuries to the cornerback room. He had a great start to his Eagles Career, as he has 2 forced fumbles, 2 sacks and a touchdown in the week 5 win against the Jets. However, it was clear that play was not going to keep up.
Scandrick has been a journeyman around the league the past couple years, and failed to step up the past two weeks. His release was secured after Tavon Austin embarrassed him on national TV.
With the Eagles cornerback room starting to become healthy, Scandrick’s release was bound to happen.
