Hollins was set to have a breakout year with the Eagles this season. Under new wide receivers coach Gunter Brewer, Hollins was primed for a bigger role. Brewer coached Hollins at the University of North Carolina.
Last season Hollins was a key special teams player and deep threat. Losing a player like him stings, however, the Eagles already have replacements for him in Mike Wallace and Markus Wheaton.
Moving forward, we wish Hollins a speedy recovery. For now, the team will be fine with Wallace and Wheaton manning the go routes.
