TE Richard Rodgers’ deal includes 245K fully guaranteed

10 April 2018 Eagles News

According to NFL Insider, Adam Caplan, Eagles TE Richard Rogers’ 1 year-deal($880,000) only contains $245,000 guaranteed.

For the Eagles, this is a team friendly contract heading into the off-seaason, with the front office currently looking to address the position somewhere in the middle rounds of the draft. Rogers gives the Birds a player with experience at the position that they can bring in to compete with the rest of the tight ends on the roster. By no means does this mean he is a lock to make the final 53 roster heading into the season. Back in 2016, the Eagles brought in veteran WRs Chris Givens(100K gtd) and Reuben Randle (500K gtd)to compete in the offseason, both of them were released a week before the final cutdowns that year.
