Over/Under: Eagles rush for 120 yards as a team

23 October 2017 Eagles News

Last time the Eagles played the Redskins, they were victorious 30-17. Tonight, the rematch goes down and if the Eagles are to win, they will need to rely on their running game.

The Eagles are the fourth best rushing team in the NFL, averaging 132.5 yards per game. They use a variety of running backs, including quarterback Carson Wentz, to get to that average. LeGarrette Blount will likely be the feature back, but with Wendell Smallwood healthy again, expect the Eagles to use him too.

The last time the Eagles faced the Redskins, they only rushed for 58 yards as a team, with Blount leading the way with 46 yards on 14 carries. However, in the last few weeks, the Eagles have balanced their offense and they have leaned on the run a lot more than in week one.

Knowing all of that, will the Eagles have more than 120 yards rushing or less than 120 yards rushing. The Redskins have the third-best run defense, allowing just 88 yards a game. However, versus the Eagles tonight, they will be without Jonathan Allen,  a key defensive lineman in their run defense.

With the Eagles now devoted to the run game and with all the different weapons the can present to the Redskins, I am taking the over. I believe the Eagles will run for more than 120 yards as a team, with Blount leading the team with 105 yards.

What do you guys think, are you taking the over?
