Patrick Robinson getting work over the slot. Hadn't seen that before the Darby trade.

It’s nice to see the Eagles utilizing Robinson to the best of his ability, as Robinson could be more effective on the inside versus the outside. With Ron Brooks (hamstring) out for some time, Robinson could be the guy the Eagles rely upon. The Eagles do have Malcolm Jenkins who can also play the slot, but it’s most likely the Eagles want Jenkins to play the safety spot where he is at his best.
When the Eagles brought in Robinson, it was Coach Schwartz who liked the idea of Robinson’s experience and his flexibility to play outside corner and in the slot. Now that Ronald Darby is in town and starting across the way from Jalen Mills, Robinson gives the Eagles depth at the corner spot and backup corner with experience.
