Report: Eagles DL Beau Allen suffers upper-body injury

8 April 2017 Eagles News

It is a good thing the Eagles traded for Timmy Jernigan.

Per a report by Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Beau Allen suffered an upper-body injury while working out on Thursday.

In his report, he states that the injury will likely require surgery. Just how long will he be out, Les Bowen, who covers the Eagles for Philadelphia Daily News suspects he will be out until September.

Last season, Browns defensive end Desmond Bryant tore his pectoral muscle two weeks before training camp. His recovery time was five to six months, which ruled him out for the season. Bryant’s injury occurred while lifting weights.

So, Bowen’s assessment seems pretty accurate. The Eagles did not comment on the issue and we have heard nothing from Allen. Stay tuned, we will let you know when we find out more.
