Eagles agree to deal with CB Patrick Robinson

28 March 2017 Eagles News

Originally broken by Jimmy Kempski, the Eagles are signing veteran CB Patrick Robinson to a one-year deal.

The former round pick will join this young group of cornerbacks and immediately have a leadership role. Having a veteran presence in the locker room is something the Eagles seem to be looking for, they also signed veteran DE Chris Long as well.

Robinson has racked up 255 tackles and ten interceptions in his career. He has played for the New Orleans Saints, San Diego Chargers and recently, the Indianapolis Colts.

The Eagles made this move official just moments ago. Robinson  was very good for the San Diego Chargers in 2015, but could not stay on the field in 2016. He adds a bit of value to the Eagles struggling cornerback group.

Obviously the Eagles are valuing experience and leadership. Robinson is a good addition and takes just a little bit of pressure off the Eagles shoulders. They still need to address this position pretty heavily during the draft.
