PSU LB Brandon Bell sets up pre-draft visit with Eagles
23 March 2017 DRAFT Eagles News
According to Lion247’s Andrew Callahan, Penn State LB Brandon Bell has a pre-draft visit scheduled with the Philadelphia Eagles on April 19th.
The 6-foot-1, 227-pound Bell, had a solid year for the Nittany Lions in 2016, recording 88 tackles, with four sacks, three forced fumbles and two interceptions on the season, earning honorable mention All-Big Ten from the conference coaches and media. Bell was also named captain for his senior campaign.
Despite having a productive season for the Nittany Lions, Bell did not receive an invite to any All-Star games or an invite to the combine. However, Bell did suffer an elbow injury during an interception return in Penn State’s 52-49 loss to USC.
It looks like Bell has a shot to be a end of day 3 selection in this year’s draft; worst case scenario he signs as an undrafted free agent. At Penn State’s recent pro day, Bell posted a 4.68 in the 40-yard dash, while throwing up 15 reps on the bench press, and posting a 35 inch vertical. Prior to his visit with the Eagles, Bell plans to have pre-draft visits with the New York Giants and the New York Jets.
