Eagles mock draft roundup: Eagles take the fastest WR in the draft
4 March 2017 DRAFT Eagles News
NFL.com’s Bucky Brooks has the Eagles upgrading their wide receiver position with the 14th pick in the draft, selecting John Ross, the fastest wide receiver in combine history.
Ross is known for his blazing speed and his ability to stretch the field. He just ran a 4.22 second 40-yard dash at the NFL combine, which is the fastest by a wide receiver in combine history. (Also, unofficially, the fastest ever.)
Here’s Brooks reasoning for picking Ross, ” The Eagles could opt for a DeSean Jackson clone to add some speed and playmaking to the passing game.”
Ross gives the Eagles the ability to stretch the field. Stretching the field is an area of concern for the Eagles. They cannot go another season without a receiver who can stretch the field. Ross fixes that issue and some. He is the perfect compliment wide receiver and the perfect play maker. Ross would be a great addition to the Eagles.
