Eagles approach LT Jason Peters regarding pay cut

7 February 2017 Eagles News

With a roster purge on its way, the Eagles are asking Pro Bowl LT Jason Peters to take a pay cut.

Per an ESPN report, the Eagles recently approached Peters about possibly reducing his salary.

Peters is scheduled to make $10.45 million in 2017 and has a cap number of $11.7 million, which is the highest on the team.

The Eagles seem eager to get as much money as they can. Will this money be used to resign Bennie Logan? Maybe the Eagles are actually going after Alshon Jeffery.

However, for now, Peters has not taken a pay cut and has no reason to. As of now, he has two years left on his contract. Will Peters be willing to stretch out his salary another season or two? I guess we will have to wait and see.
