This years tight end class is one of the most deep classes in recent memory. There are a few that stand out over the rest and Hunter Long is one of them. After a stout 2020 campaign, Long is getting a lot of notice and recognition as one of the top tight ends in the draft.

Strenghts: One of the more underrated players in this years draft. Long is a tightend who NFL teams are going to admire. He is probably the most versatile tightend in the draft. Runs routes with good timing and can make adjustments mid route to create space. Hands are soft and his ball skills are sound. Creative and physical after the catch. Can hold his own blocking at the line of scrimmage. Competitive drive is
Weaknesses: Decent athlete, but not super dynamic or explosive. Fluid mobility, but not shifty or twitchy. Occasional rounded route breaks, but not too often. Could benefit by adding some strenght to his overall game.
Overall: Hunter Long is a do it all tight end that doesn’t isn’t necessarily elite at one area of his game, yet isn’t bad at one area either. Long isn’t going to kill teams in vertical or seam routes for 40/50 yards, but what he will do is get involved in the dirty work up front, while also being a reliable third down target.
