Game Prediction: Eagles vs. Cowboys

27 December 2020 Uncategorized

The Philadelphia Eagles are still in the hunt for the playoffs and although they need other things to happen, they have to handle business today. Against a rival like the Dallas Cowboys, it’s going to be an explosive game. Emotions will be high and let’s just hope it’s better than the last time.

This time, the Eagles are coming off of two games where they’ve looked like a completely different team. Under Jalen Hurts, the offense has been buzzing and the defense is holding up their end of the bargain as well.

Last week, Hurts completed seven passes of 20 or more yards, the most by an Eagles quarterback since Foles had seven against the Texans in 2018. The Eagles are pushing the ball down the field and opportunities are always there.

We’re seeing players like Jalen Reagor, Quez Watkins and Miles Sanders make big explosive plays. Zach Ertz and Alshon Jeffery are coming back into form as well. Hopefully it’s not too late, but regardless, the offense has put up 25 points on average in their last two which is much improved from before.

Defensively, they’re holding up and against the Cowboys, they’ll have Darius Slay back. They’re getting pressure, Alex Singleton has been a tackling machine and the emergence of Michael Jacquet has been huge.

What to expect today?

The Cowboys are fighting for the division as well. It’s not going to be an easy game by any means at all. But, you have to think the Eagles are in a better position than the Cowboys although Dallas technically has a better record.

They have a few defensive players missing, offensively they’re banged up as well. The Eagles need to get ahead early and put them

away. With Hurts, they’ve been able to sustain drives and control the clock, today that’ll be vital to the success.

Prediction:

Eagles win 31-20
