Report: There’s a “real chance” WR Jalen Reagor is active this Sunday vs. Cowboys

According to a lot of members of the media, Eagles rookie wide receiver Jalen Reagor has a real chance of returning this Sunday vs. the Dallas Cowboys. And, boy does that change things.

There’s no way around this, the Cowboys defense is very bad. On average, opponents are scoring almost 35 points a game against them. Opposing quarterbacks have had good games against them as they’ve given up 16 passing touchdowns to just one interception. Their defense is also allowing 178 rushing yards a game, however in this case that’s irrelevant.

This past Sunday, Washington wide receiver Terry McLaurin scored a 52 yard touchdown with ease. The week before, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Christian Kirk scored an 80 yard touchdown. Cleveland Browns wide receiver hauled in a 37 yard pass and scored a 50 yard run. And lastly, Seattle Seahawks trio Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf both scored touchdowns of over 35 yards.

The point is, they give up big plays to opposing wide receivers. And with that being said, it’s a perfect game for Reagor to break onto the scene.

We saw just a small sample size of what he could bring to the offense. Week one against Washington he hauled in a 55 yard completion, demonstrating his downfield ability. The Eagles have had a huge emergence on offense the past two weeks with Travis Fulgham. Reagor won’t have to be the focal point of the defense which will make him more dangerous.

Being more creative and finding ways to get the ball to Reagor is space will definitely play to the Eagles advantage. Those deep shots will be there against Dallas but he’s much more than just a one trick pony.

Adding Reagor to a wide receiving core which also includes Fulgham and Greg Ward in the slot in very strong. Carson Wentz has been great with all three of them this season and they all add their own flare to the team. Against Dallas it would be a perfect time for Reagor to unleash and show the football world just what he can do. And what a better stage than Sunday Night football.
