Report: Eagles bring back DE Vinny Curry

7 August 2020 Uncategorized

In this weird training camp and season, sometimes it’s best to go with what you’re familiar with. For the Philadelphia Eagles, it’s not about bringing in someone new, it’s about bringing back one of the Super Bowl winners.

Instead of making a big splash and signing someone like Jadeveon Clowney for one year, the Eagles elected to bring back defensive end Vinny Curry.

Now, Curry is someone who knows the system and actually thrived in it last season for the Eagles. He accumulated five sacks in a limited role and actually had more quarterback pressures and hits than Brandon Graham and the same amount as Fletcher Cox.

Bringing Curry back is a solid move for depth purposes. He’s a player the Eagles know can come in and make some big time plays for them. With their preseason cut short, they cannot take risks. Curry brings no risk to the table, just sacks come September.
