Report: Eagles head coach Doug Pederson tests positive for COVID-19

2 August 2020 Uncategorized

Who knew that this kind of thing would happen so quickly.

Even before the Philadelphia Eagles started their actual training camp, the team announced that head coach Doug Pederson has tested positive for COVID-19.

It is believed that Pederson contracted the virus from outside the building. Another coach who’s unknown as of now was sent home after being in contact with Pederson. He’s supposedly already had one negative test.

Pederson is asymptomatic and doing well, he’s shown no actual symptoms. After a second positive test, the team knew and reported the news. In his absence, assistant head coach Duce Staley will takeover head coaching responsibilities.

This is yet just another road block the league is going to have to deal with. It’s going to be hard to prevent players and coaches from catching the virus if not a bubble scenario. They’re going to have to really be on their game. Prayers up to Doug on a speedy recovery.
