There’s no secret, the Philadelphia Eagles want to add another running back to lighten the load for Miles Sanders. And now, another name is added to the mix.
According to Mike Silver, the Eagles are interested in former Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman.
The Seahawks' offer to free agent RB Devonta Freeman is a one-year deal that would be worth up to $4 million. He has also attracted interest from the Jets and Eagles.

The same report lays out that the Seattle Seahawks have offered Freeman a one year contract worth up to $4 million with bonuses and clauses. His base salary is expected to be under $3 million.
The market for Freeman is between the Eagles, Seahawks and New York Jets. It’s clear what these teams want him for and that’s depth.
Last season Freeman ran for 656 yards and two touchdowns, also adding 56 receptions, 410 yards and four receiving touchdowns. He proved to be productive even though the narrative is that his best years are behind him.
Coming to the Eagles in a complimentary role, Freeman would be able to stay healthy and give it all he got when the time came. One of the best things a team can do is add depth because it’s not pleasant when the injury bug bites you. And, if there’s one team that knows that, it’s the Eagles. Adding Freeman could end up paying off big time for the Eagles.
