Goodwin, age 29, has had some injury concerns as of late, but he’s been a valuable deep threat before in the NFL. Two seasons ago, Goodwin caught 56 passes for 962 yards and two touchdowns. The last two seasons he’s been hurt.
He’s a player who’s average 16.6 yards per reception. He’s going to come to the Eagles and be a depth wide receiver who comes in and tries to take the top off of defenses. That’s a valuable piece to have. They’re not going to be asking him a lot other than that.
He’s due just $4.9 million this season, it’s a low risk move.
