Eagles bring back Marty Mornhinweg as senior offensive consultant

5 March 2020 Eagles News

The Philadelphia Eagles have made another addition to their coaching staff.
This time they have brought back a familiar face.

After a few years away from the Eagles, Marty Mornhinweg as a senior offensive consultant.

It’s never a bad thing to have a lot of offensive minds in the building. The thing is, they have to be on the same page and here’s what gear coach Doug Pederson how to say about that.

“ He gets what we’re doing. He gets my vision. He understands my philosophy,” Pederson said on Thursday. “He understands what my goal is and what my vision is for this offense.”

Mornhinweg was an offensive coach for the Eagles from 2003 – 2012. In his last two seasons with the Eagles, Mornhinweg was the offensive coordinator and assistant head coach. Mornhinweg and Coach Pederson we’re together in Green Bay when Mornhinweg was Pederson’s quarterback coach.

The Eagles are taking a new approach to their coaching staff this season. Having a few offensive consultants all under Pederson should have a big impact going forward. Hopefully we see a better offense than last season going forward.
