Mock Draft Roundup: Eagles land LSU Star WR Justin Jefferson in Daniel Jeremiah’s post combine mock draft

The NFL combine is over and some prospect rose to the occasion. Mock draft season is stronger than ever and NFL network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah has released a brand new mock draft.
In his latest mock draft, Jeremiah has the Eagles taking LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson.
In @MoveTheSticks' post-combine mock draft, he has four teams taking a QB in Round 1, including the Patriots at No. 23 overall. Which signal-caller might Bill Belichick and Co. target on April 23?https://t.co/CSykeVyQEo pic.twitter.com/YhZXXMa30A

Jeremiah’s reasoning, “Carson Wentz needs help.” With a wide receiver draft class as loaded as this one, the Eagles need to ensure they get an potentially elite playmaker. Taking a wide receiver in the first round seems like a universally accepted idea.
Jefferson talked the talk and walked the walk this past season for the LSU Tigers. He put up 111 receptions for 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns. Averaging 13.9 yards per reception, he proved he’s a reliable target and an elite playmaker. He’s a player who’s a constant threat and he can take the ball to the house on any play.
Furthermore, he ran a 4.44 40 yard dash, which was faster than players who were considered speedsters. Jefferson really can do it all, but the most important thing is, he’ll be Wentz’s best friend like he was Joe Burrow’s this past season.
Eagles taking Jefferson would be a great pick. He’s proven how good he can be and there’s no doubt he’d come into the Eagles offense and excel.
