Report: Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery would welcome move away from Eagles

21 February 2020 Eagles News

The first domino fell this offseason with the Philadelphia Eagles releasing linebacker Nigel Bradham. Now, another one can be falling very shortly.

According to The Athletic, Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is up to a move away from the Eagles. According to Connor Hughes of The Athletic, Jeffery “would welcome the change of scenery.”

Jeffery has been a curious case the last few years because when the Eagles first signed him, everything felt alright. The last two season were not only filled with injuries, drama played a part in it as well. The same article says the Jeffery supposedly never saw eye to eye with Carson Wentz.

At 30 years old and with an $11.5 million cap hit, it’s going to be hard to trade him. Pile on the fact he’s recovering from a foot injury that required surgery, he’s not going to have much value.

If all of this is true, the Eagles are just going to get rid of him because they don’t want him on the team anymore. It could be time to move away from him.
