Roster Alert: Eagles have signed RB Elijah Holyfield and placed DE Daeshon Hall on IR

31 December 2019 Uncategorized

The Philadelphia Eagles are still signing players and today, they’ve brought in a son of a legend. But, make no mistake about it, he’s here to write his own legacy.

Today, the Eagles announced they have signed Elijah Holyfield and have place DE Daeshon Hall on the injured reserve.

Hall tore his ACL on the last play of the game versus the New York Giants which is how the roster spot opened up. The Eagles choose to sign another running back as insurance if running back Miles Sanders cannot go and if Jordan Howard isn’t right yet. Howard was available against the Giants but barely played.

As for Holyfield, he ran for 1,018 yards and seven touchdowns for Georgia last season. He’s built like a titan, and he’s a physical runner. However, he’s still very quick, so he has a mixture of both speed and strength.

Holyfield wasn’t just a beast for any ordinary college team, he did it for Georgia in the SEC. He has a bunch of potential, just for that reason, this is a good signing.

Is it possible we see him on the field this Sunday? Crazier things have happened. For now, the Eagles have sign hopes he’ll develop for them like a bunch of players already have this season.
