EaglesTwitter Reacts: How we feel following Eagles win over Cowboys
24 December 2019 Uncategorized
As we dissect this last Sunday’s victory over the Dallas Cowboys, there’s a few things we learned. I took to Twitter to find those things out, here’s the best.
For one, the defense plays up to the energy in the Linc and came to play this past Sunday.
Defense was huge. Total team win but Fletcher Cox and Malcolm Jenkins led us to victory this week. Also a head nod to Sanders.

The defense held the Cowboys to ZERO touchdowns. They’re one of the best offenses this year, per the statistics. The Eagles got a big time effort from everyone on the defense. And, like this tweet pointed out in the end of it, they got another big performance from another particular player.
Sanders is a beast! Can catch and run the ball as one of the best weapons in the NFL. His upside is tremendous! Heads up to do a Westbrook and go down to kill the game. Can you imagine him in a couple of years!! DAMN! NFL, go on notice… Sanders is here!! #FlyEaglesFly

Miles Sanders totaled 156 total yards and one touchdown. He was a monster and came up clutch in the big moments for the Eagles. When they needed him to convert a big third down, he did. Sanders is really coming along, every time he touches the ball, a huge play can happen.
However, the biggest thing we learned through all of this is pointed out in this tweet.
This was a game that explains why heart is the greatest game intangible. Injuries to both teams, drives that fell short and a Dallas team held to 3 field goals? May the ghost of Jim Johnson be praised.

There was no way the Eagles should have won that game. They were banged up, missing a lot of key players. However, deep inside, you always felt like they had a chance. That’s because this team has the one thing you cannot teach, heart.
They’re a resilient bunch of players who are playing for one another. It’s a whole team effort and the Eagles are playing much better now than they were weeks ago.
Going forward, this Sunday, the Eagles can clinch the division with a win versus the New York Giants. It’s another big game, riding this wave, the Eagles look poised to continue their run.
