Eagles will be without a few key starters tonight vs. Giants

9 December 2019 Uncategorized

Although the New York Giants are 2-10 and not the best of teams, the Philadelphia Eagles’ injury report makes things a lot harder for them. The Eagles will be without a few key starters tonight.

Now, official, the Eagles will be without wide receiver Nelson Agholor; defensive end Derek Barnett, running back Jordan Howard and linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill.

With Agholor out, the Eagles will have just three wide receivers active. Thankfully, the rain in Philadelphia will likely not show the Eagles lack of depth at receiver tonight as running the call should be a big focus in the game plan.

Speaking of running the ball, Howard is missing his fourth straight game with a stinger. He hasn’t been cleared for contact and it’s almost time to speculate, what’s really wrong with his shoulder? They’ve really missed his presence in the backfield.

Barnett suffered an ankle injury last week versus the Miami Dolphins, that’s what’s keeping him out of tonight’s game. The Eagles will look to Josh Sweat to pick up the slack. Barnett’s constant pressure and push makes him really valuable, it’ll be a big game for Sweat.
