Roster Move: Eagles have released WR Mack Hollins

3 December 2019 Eagles News

Will Wide receiver Mack Hollins never be forgotten!

The Philadelphia Eagles have announced they have released Hollins and signed offensive guard Sua Opeta to their active roster.

Hollins was in his third year with the team. He had a decent rookie season, missed his whole second season with a sports hernia and this season, well well break down how this season went.

Being catch-less since September pretty much summarizes this season which saw Hollins produce just ten receptions for 125 yards. Production has never been there and if you aren’t producing on an offense begging for production, what’s your use.

This offseason, the Eagles really need to add skill and playmakers at the wide receiver position. The Eagles need to stop trying to force players who just aren’t good to produce. Hollins is an example of that.

So, going forward with Hollins things aren’t changing. However, it’s a big opportunity for J.J Archega-Whiteside to continue to improve as he’ll see a lot more snaps.
