Injury Update: Eagles RT Lane Johnson is OUT of this weeks matchup vs. Seahawks, rookie Andre Dillard will start in his place

Yet again, the Philadelphia Eagles are going into a game short handed.
Last week, when the Eagles took the field against the New England Patriots, not only did they leave it with a loss; they left it losing their All Pro right tackle.
Lane Johnson left that game with a concussion and has been ruled out of this weeks matchup versus the Seattle Seahawks. In his place, rookie Andre Dillard will slot in. However, Dillard hasn’t played right tackle since his early years and doesn’t seem all too confident.
When asked about the transition of switching from LT to RT, Andre Dillard asks a reporter which hand he writes with.
“Right”
Dillard responded: “Write with your left.”

There’s definitely going to be a learning curve and the Eagles need him to learn pretty quickly. When Johnson left the game, the Eagles and Carson Wentz was a lot more pressure than usual. Wentz ended up being sacked five times and saw an increase in hits as well. His accuracy suffered and the offense struggled.
With that being said. Johnson is great, but there cannot be this massive drop off if he’s not on the field. Dillard needs to step up even though it’s an awkward situation. Sitting at 5-5, bearing an 8-2 Seattle team would be a big boost for the Eagles as their schedule gets a lot easier after this game.
