When you have a franchise quarterback, you protect him. So far, that’s what the Philadelphia Eagles have done. And, to further this notion, they’ve just secured one of their best offensive lineman and overall one of their best players until 2024.
If you haven’t been able to guess who off of that, the player extended is offensive guard Brandon Brooks.
The man who many believe to be the best guard in the league is now its highest paid…. https://t.co/iGQLvee6OP

Brooks’ contract is the highest for a guard. It’s a four year extension worth $54.2 million with $30 million being guaranteed. And, it’s worth every penny.
Brooks is just 11 months off of an Achilles tear injury and so far this season, he’s been without a doubt the best guard in the NFL.
This season, Brooks has allowed ZERO sacks and just four quarterback pressures. Teams do not beat him very easily and it makes the Eagles a much better offense when he’s on the field.
Extending him and keeping a player like him on the team for the next few years is really important. It’s a no brainer.
