Report: Eagles to promote LB Alex Singleton to the 53 man roster

Could the Philadelphia Eagles have just found their new linebacker?

According to Mike Kaye of NJ.com the Eagles have promoted linebacker Alex Singleton to the 53-man roster.

Singleton was a tackling machine for the Eagles in the preseason, most notably racking up 14 tackles in the preseason finale versus the New York Jets. He always finds a way to be around the ball.

The former Canadian league standout and two time all star is now going to get his chance to shine in the NFL. Following the release of Zach Brown and the injury to Nigel Bradham, the Eagles had to add another linebacker.

Coming up against the Dallas Cowboys, this is a big opportunity for him. There’s a real chance he’s rotated in at linebacker at some point, and with that, he needs to make the most of his chances.

Everyone deserves a shot and from the small sample size we’ve seen, he’s a good tackler and is always getting to the ball. It’s a big shot for him on the big stage, here’s to hoping he pans out.
