Eagles waive CB Ryan Lewis

14 October 2019 Uncategorized

According to David Gallen of PennLive.com, the Eagles have waived CB Ryan Lewis.

Lewis was signed to the practice squad a couple of weeks ago, before the Jets game. He was brought up to the active roster within days, to play in that game. It was more of a desperation move, as we only had three healthy corners at the time.

If Lewis clears waivers, he could be brought back to the practice squad, as the Eagles are still dealing with a lot of injuries to the cornerback position.

This move now opens up a spot on the Eagles 53-man roster. It was reported earlier by Zach Berman of The Athletic, that Jalen Mills will be practicing this week. Possibly, the Eagles will be adding him back to the roster, if he’s healthy enough.
