Buying/Selling: The Eagles dominate the game on the ground vs. Vikings

13 October 2019 Uncategorized

Today’s a big game for the Philadelphia Eagles as they take on the Minnesota Vikings. For the Eagles, the past few weeks have been won on the ground. And today, that’s more important than ever.

Over the last two weeks, the Eagles have rushed for 260 yards combined. That’s an average of 130 yards per game. Being able to establish the run and have a lot of success has really help the Eagles.

The Eagles have a two headed monster in the backfield with Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders. Howard has been leading the way for the Eagles where he not only leads them in rushing, but he’s been scoring touchdowns for them too.

Today’s matchup is a good one as the Vikings’ run defense ranks ninth in the league, averaging just 88 yards against per game. Doing some digging, the Vikings haven’t faced a rushing attack like the Eagles’. They’ve gone against the Green Bay Packers, Oakland Raiders, Chicago Bears who all have a good running back. However,
they don’t use their running backs like how the Eagles use their running backs like the Eagles.

Running the ball effectively on the road is extremely important in this league. With that being said, will the Eagles be able too?

With all things said, using a mixture of Howard and Sanders gives the Eagles the best chance to control the ground game. Both possess different traits and talent which is hard for opposing teams to defend.

Behind these two players, the Eagles will be able to win this tough road game. This is just the start to the Eagles tough road stretch. Running the ball is always going to be key for them, and today it’s more important now than ever.
