Injury Update: CB Sidney Jones day to day with hamstring injury
2 October 2019 Eagles News
The Eagles secondary has been deteriorating as this season has progressed. But today, we got positive news regarding one of the cornerback’s status for this Sunday.
Head Coach Doug Pederson said this today when asked about cornerback Sidney Jones.
“Sidney is doing well,” Pederson said. He continued on saying, “We’re going to progress him slowly through portions of practice as we can. He’s kind of day-to-day, but he’s doing well.”
Being day to day is a huge positive for the Eagles. As we know, Jones left the game last Thursday versus the Green Bay Packers with a hamstring injury.
As always, the Eagles are going to be precautionary with him as hamstring injuries could be killer as well as Jones has a history of them. But, going into this Sunday the Eagles have just one active starter Rasul Douglas left. They’ve added Craig James and Orlando Scandrick along the way this season.
Jones’ injury is definitely one to watches Sunday gets closer and closer.
