The Eagles went on the road and got the job done after defeating the Green Bay Packers 34-27.
Some called this game a must win, but regardless there was a lot of pressure on the team to get a win. After all, 2-2 looks a lot better than 1-3.
Led by their offensive line and ground game which racked up 171 yards, the Eagles were able to build off of that and come out victorious. Running back Jordan Howard led the way with 87 yards and two touchdowns, also adding in another receiving touchdown. Rookie running back added 72 yards of his own.
The offensive line was astounding not only in the run game, but protecting Carson Wentz. Wentz had two rough games prior in terms of getting hit and tonight he stayed clean. They were tremendous.
Wentz was deadly, getting the ball out quickly. He threw for 160 yards and three touchdowns. He finished off drives and converted when the Eagles needed him.
Defensively, the Eagles bent, but didn’t break. They forced two turnovers, one which ended the game when a ball tipped into the air and was intercepted by Nigel Bradham. They lost a few members of their secondary due to injuries so they’ll have to address that position going forward.
Getting the job done is big for the Eagles and it was important. Hopefully the Eagles can build off of this one. Fly Eagles Fly!
