Last night, the Eagles lost a few cornerbacks to injury, to go along with a number of cornerbacks already injured. Today, they had to address the position and they did.
A roster move was necessary and that’s what happened. The Eagles have brought back cornerback Orlando Scandrick and have released linebacker L.J. Fort.

Scandrick was signed to the Eagles during training camp and played for them this preseason. He was initially released to cut the team down to 53.
When he was with the team, he primarily played in the slot for the Eagles. With Avonte Maddox on the shelf for the next few weeks, Scandrick will slide right into that position.
There’s no saying if he’ll be here for the long haul, but for now, he’s extremely valuable depth. The Eagles need cornerback depth and quality depth and that’s what they get with Scandrick.
