Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery expected to play vs. Packers

24 September 2019 Uncategorized

This Thursday the Eagles travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers. Although it’s a short week for the team, today, they have received a big boost in spirit.

Speaking to the media, head coach Doug Pederson said he expects wide receiver Alshon Jeffery to play. This is a much needed boost to the Eagles offense which has clearly struggled without Jeffery.

In his first game this season, Jeffery caught five passes for 49 yards and a touchdown as well as adding a two yard rushing touchdown. His presence never goes unnoticed when he’s on the field.

Wide receiver Nelson Agholor has made a few bad plays in this two game stretch as the Eagles number one receiver, but he’s done a nice job. He’ll be relieved of some pressure with Jeffery back in the lineup and receiver Mack Hollins will be able to become the deep threat again.

It’s never a bad thing when your quarterback gets another weapon. And, in this instance, he’s getting arguably one of his best weapon on the team back. Now it’s time to go to Green Bay and get back to the win column!
