Injury Report: DeSean Jackson is out vs. Lions, HC Doug Pederson optimistic both Dallas Goedert and Alshon Jeffery will play

There’s some big news to report on today in terms with the Philadelphia Eagles matchup versus the Detroit Lions.

Head Coach Doug Pederson spoke to the media and confirmed, wide receiver DeSean Jackson will be out of the game, he’s still dealing with a abdominal strain and with a short turnaround ahead he’ll likely sit both games out to be fully healthy week five versus the New York Jets.

The other two notable injuries were Alshon Jeffery and Dallas Goedert. Both are dealing with calf issues. However, Pederson is optimistic they’ll both play this Sunday. The official injury report comes out later today and that’ll have a big say in their status.

The Eagles offense looked lost last week especially in the first half. Goedert’s absence messed up the packages as well as the blocking schemes. And, Jeffery is a big weapon missing when he’s not available. Having both of them back would be a much needed boost to an Eagles team looking to get back in the winning column.
