Betting the Birds: Your betting and fantasy preview for Eagles vs. Redskins

8 September 2019 Uncategorized

On Sundays one of the best parts besides the Eagles playing is fantasy and betting football. All season long, we’ll try to help you out with all your Eagles decisions. Right now we’re an hour away from the game, so without further ado, here’s the advice you need.

The Eagles are -10.5 on the spread and -500 money-line. The spread is a very good bet as the Eagles beat the Washington Redskins 15 points and 24 points. At home with a new offense and healthy defense, they should be able to handle the Redskins and cover the spread.

In terms of your fantasy lineup, the Eagles have a few very good options on offense. Obviously quarterback Carson Wentz looks like he’s in for a big game. Last season, Wentz threw for 306 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against the Redskins. He’s also has a history of scoring touchdowns against the skins.

Tight end Zach Ertz caught nine passes for 83 yards in that matchup versus the Redskins in which Wentz played. The Redskins lost linebackers and it seems as if Ertz could be in for another big reception and yardage game.

However, the biggest play of the week for Eagles fantasy is their defense. The Eagles held the Redskins to 13 points once last season and shut them out the other game. With that being known, the Redskins offense is noticeably weaker and the Eagles defense is stronger as well as fully healthy. They should have success and a very good fantasy day.

To recap, take the Eagles spread of you’re betting and you cannot go wrong with a Wentz/Ertz duo in fantasy. The big play is their defense. Good luck to anyway betting and playing fantasy!
