Three things to know: Eagles Training Camp Day 4

29 July 2019 Uncategorized

Another day, another very good practice for quarterback Carson Wentz. Only be the fourth practice in training camp, the Eagles are already looking sharp. Let’s break down the three biggest stories during today’s practice.

  1. Wentz to D-Jax looks formidable

This combination as been a topic of discussion all spring and it’s looking very good in training camp. Wentz is still working on his deep ball as he’s been over throwing some of a few occasions. However, overthrowing is better than under throwing and once he gets it, it’s over. Today they connected on a few deep passes, but the real story is, this duo is looking strong. Together, they can really rip apart teams.

                2. Mack Hollins hurt?

The wide receiver missed most, if not all of last season with a groin injury. Today, he wasn’t at practice and afterwards it was described as an upper body injury. Hollins hasn’t had the best of luck as of late and with a big competition for a roster spot, he needs to get back on the field. Regardless, his speed and special teams ability will likely secure him a spot, but his health is concerning.

                 3. Jordan Howard looks real good

Head Coach Doug Pederson commented on Howard and said he’s impressed him. Howard is a running back who’s been under appreciated in Chicago. He racks up yards and scores touchdowns. The Eagles struggled to score rushing touchdowns last season, so this could be a big year for Howard. Establishing the run and getting one of their backs going will be a key for the Eagles this season. Howard can solve that issue.

Tomorrow, the Eagles hit the field for practice at 9:15am. Be sure to tune in tomorrow for another update.
