Report: Eagles Safety Malcolm Jenkins WILL be in attendance for mandatory minicamp tomorrow

10 June 2019 Uncategorized

Tomorrow, the Eagles quest to be back in the Super Bowl begins. And, a certain Number 27 will be out there with them.

A leader is much more than a great player on the field, he’s a great teammate, someone the team can get behind and he’s a community presence as well. And, by definition, Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins is a leader. For him to miss mandatory practice should have never been in doubt all along. He’s too invested in this city and team to do so. With that being said, the Eagles need to repay the favor.

Jenkins missed the Eagles VOLUNTARY (that words in all caps to show its significance) minicamp because it was rumored he wants a pay raise. However, now, when it’s time to get to business, Jenkins is there. He’ll be in attendance as the Eagles kick off mandatory mini camp tomorrow.

This doesn’t mean Jenkins still doesn’t want his pay raise. Like forth noted, he’s a leader and a professional. It’s time to work and he’s going to work. The Eagles need to do him right and give him some a raise. He’s the heart and soul of this team and doing right by their players is a common theme from the Eagles staff.

When it’s all said and done, sometimes the business side of the game gets in the way. It’s great to Jenkins isn’t going to let that happen. They’ll figure things out eventually, but for now, it’s great he’s back on the field.
