Report: Eagles to workout Safety Johnathan Cyprien
4 June 2019 Uncategorized
With no end in sight in regards to Malcolm Jenkins and his holdout, the Eagles are working out another safety.
The Eagles are bringing in safety Jonathan Cyprien for a workout. With Jenkins being a no show and expected to stay a no show this offseason, the Eagles are looking to add some depth. No one knows for sure if Jenkins will show up for training camp, with that being said, the Eagles need some security.
After visiting with the Colts on Monday, Titans’ free-agent safety Johnathan Cyprien is visiting and working out for the Eagles today, per source.
Eagles have been looking to add safety help, and Malcolm Jenkins has been a no show this off-season – with no end in sight.

Make no mistake about it, Cyprien is a player who can help the Eagles even when Jenkins comes back. In all his years except in 2017 when he went down injured, Cyprien had over 100 tackles. He’s a player that’s always around the ball and making plays.
In hindsight, is he going to bench one of the Eagles starters? Probably not. However, regardless of the Jenkins situation, he could be some real quality depth for a pretty bargain price.
It’s unfortunate that the Eagles and Jenkins have yet to come in agreement. The Eagles do not hold very many cards at this table. Bringing on Cyprien gives the Eagles an extra card as depth is going to be less of a concern, however, they need to pay him. #PayMalcolmJenkins
