Howie Roseman has done it again.
The Eagles acquired Chicago Bears running back Jordan Howard for a 2020 draft pick. That pick is a sixth rounder but could change to a fifth rounder.

Howard had 935 yards and nine touchdowns last season for the Bears. The year prior, in an offense that better suited his skill set, he ran for 1,122 yards and nine touchdowns. And, in his rookie season, he ran for 1,313 and six touchdowns. His career average yards per rush is 4.3 yards which is a big boost for the Eagles backfield which has struggled.
The Eagles really gave up nothing in return for a very productive running back. He’s averaging 1,123 yards and eight touchdowns a season. His cap hit for this season is under $3 million, it’s a big acquisition for the Eagles.
Adding Howard to the Eagles backfield, they finally have a bell cow running back to lean on. He’ll compliment Corey Clement in the backfield very nicely. For the Eagles, that’s a very good one two punch. Howie has done it again.
