Injury News: Both LB Jordan Hicks and DL Tim Jernigan are back at practice and are in line to play this Sunday vs. Texans

With just a few days away from yet again, another big game in the Philadelphia Eagles’ rollercoaster of a season, they have received a big boost regarding their team and depth.

The Eagles have been injury riddled all season, but before their game against the Houston Texans this Sunday, linebacker Jordan Hicks and defensive tackle Tim Jernigan are expected to be back.

Hicks has missed time with a calf injury. Having him back will bring much needed depth to the teams’ linebacker. In his absence, Nate Gerry and Kamu Grugier-Hill have done well. Gerry will likely see less time, but the Eagles will have more confidence in him stepping in if needed as he’s played well.

As for Jernigan, he’s been struggling to overcome an offseason back surgery for a herniated disc. His role on the team is important and like Hicks, having him back adds more depth to the position. With Jernigan, the Eagles run defense gets better and overall, he’s a big asset to the defensive line.

Both players make the defense a lot better. After last week against the Los Angeles Rams, the defense seems to be hitting a good stride. However, with them getting back two of their better players, you’d have to imagine they’re going to be even better versus the Texans.
