Gut Feelings: Ryan Neal’s five bold predictions for tonight’s game vs. Cowboys

11 November 2018 Uncategorized

The Eagles have a big game tonight versus the Dallas Cowboys, but for the Eagles, it couldn’t have come at a better time. They are coming off of their bye week and look to be hitting the right form. Tonight the Eagles should win and in a winning effort here’s what’s going to happen. Here’s five bold predictions for tonight’s game.

  1. Quarterback Carson Wentz throws for over 300 yards

Last week, Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota threw for 240 yards on just 21 completions. With more weapons to throw to and overall just a better quarterback, Wentz should have a field day against the Cowboys.

  1. Wendell Smallwood rushes for 75 yards + and one touchdown

Wendell Smallwood has had a string of games for the Eagles as of late. But, his best rushing numbers this season have been just 56 yards. The Cowboys are one of the better run defenses, but they struggled to contain Titans running back Dion Lewis. Smallwood similar to Lewis, might just end up having a nice breakout party against the Cowboys.

  1. Rasul Douglas gets an interception

Yes, getting the start today for Jalen Mills and Sidney Jones, Rasul Douglas is going to heavily involved tonight. When he’s in, he has a good knack for always being in a position to make a play on the ball. Against a quarterback who looks down his primary read, Douglas is going to be itching to get on the end of one of those throws. And, under the lights at the Linc, it’s going to happen.

  1. Fletcher Cox causes havoc, records two sacks

Not one, but two sacks are on the cards for Fletcher Cox tonight. He’s second on the team in sacks and the Cowboys interior offensive line isn’t too good. Cox is going to terrorize the middle of the line and get to quarterback Dak Prescott frequently.

  1. Golden Tate gives the Cowboys unwanted Deja Vu

When Golden Tate played the Cowboys this season with the Lions, he gave them a ton of problems catching eight passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns. With the Eagles, he’s going to want to show the Eagles faithful just how good he is. He’s going to have another big game on his debut as an Eagle.
