Report: Eagles showing interest in Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson

22 October 2018 Uncategorized

The Eagles are reportedly showing interest in Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson.

Today, news broke that Peterson had requested a trade and wants to be out by the October 30th trade deadline.

For the Eagles, news has been all over the media saying the Eagles will be very active during the trade deadline and this might just be a match made in heaven. The Eagles were very interested in Peterson when he came into the league. Now with him supposedly on the market, it’s the perfect time to land him.

Acquiring Peterson would carry a $6.47 million cap hit for the rest of the season, which the Eagles will have no problem paying. Down the road, it will get a little tricky as his contract is a little taxing, but with the Eagles struggling in the secondary, Peterson might just be the spark the Eagles need.

As for his value, there’s no knowing what he’d go for. The Eagles have two second round picks in which they are shopping around. Supposedly today, the Eagles offered a second round pick for wide receiver Amari Cooper.

With the Eagles being this active a trade is very possible before the deadline. Peterson is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL and the Eagles would definitely benefit from adding him.
