Report: RB Jay Ajayi has torn his ACL and is out for the season

8 October 2018 Uncategorized

According to ESPN Insider Adam Schefter, RB Jay Ajayi has torn his ACL and is out for the season.

Well, the chronic knee issues’ narrative has finally caught up to Jay Jayi and the terrible news could not come at a worse time for the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans. With the Eagles banged up all across their running back depth, losing Ajayi will be a tough blow for the Eagles to recover from. On the season, Ajayi rushed for 184 yards on 45 attempts, with 3 touchdowns, 5 receptions for 20 yards on his 2018 resume.

Ajayi was already dealing with a fracture in his back this season, but at the moment it is unsure when the ACL injury happened as the team did not announce anything after Sunday’s game.

Moving forward, Corey Clement is currently healing from a quad injury, with Darren Sproles dealing with a hamstring injury, leaving Wendell Smallwood and Josh Adams as the only healthy backs on the roster. It’s possible the Eagles are looking for replacements as we speak, but we can guarantee the Le’Veon Bell trade talks will not go away anytime soon.
