It’s time for the real Nelson Agholor to stand up vs. Vikings

6 October 2018 Uncategorized

Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor is coming off a poor performance versus the Tennessee Titans. With that being said, it’s time for the really Agholor to stand up.

Last season, primarily in the slot, Agholor was as productive as ever. He caught 62 passes for 768 yards and eight touchdowns. He was one of the most explosive playmakers on the field.

This season, it’s a different story. Agholor hasn’t been as involved and has only caught 25 passes for 167 yards and one touchdown. Last week, Agholor struggled dropping four easy passes, finishing the day with just five receptions for 22 yards.

Agholor was an easy target all last season and made a lot of key plays for the Eagles. So far this season, that’s been missing. With Alshon Jeffery back, Agholor will move to primarily the slot once more. That’s where the Eagles get the best out of him.

Moving forward, the Minnesota Vikings are in town and they give up a lot of plays to opposing slot receivers. Last week, Cooper Kupp gashed then from inside the slot. It’s the perfect game to get Agholor going again.

It’s time for the Agholor of old to show up and against the Vikings it’d be perfect timing.
